About

Rebecca Conners

LCPC, BC-DMT

Hi! I am Rebecca. I am a therapist, mom, wife, dog lover, daughter, sister, friend and orange fanatic. Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, I am proud to have called Maine home since 2016.

I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and spent the year after teaching English in Seoul, Korea. Shortly after, I completed my Masters of Expressive Therapies with a Specialty in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University – the start of calling New England home.

My clinical experiences have been diverse in setting and population and rich in learning. I have been the group therapist for teenage girls in the woods of New Hampshire, facilitated individual and group therapy for students and teachers in New York City Public Schools, run in-home family therapy in the suburbs of Boston, provided mental health services to oncology patients and led movement groups for residents at nursing homes and memory-care assisted living facilities. One of my current joys is volunteering with the female residents of Cumberland County Jail leading weekly group therapy. Whether it’s been my experiences traveling or working, I am most often struck that regardless of how different (and similar) our stories are, it is the relationships, rituals and creativity of our lives that hold us together.

Let's work together.
